Accent Vocal is a sextet formed in 2011.<ref name="Roots Music Report 2019"/> Because of their diverse locations, the formation of Accent was internet inspired and enabled. The group worked remotely until they were invited to perform at the Swedish choral festival (Lund??) in 2014. <ref name="Jazz Weekly 2019"/> The group styles itself and follows in the tradition of groups like [[Wikipedia:Take 6|Take 6]] and [[Wikipedia:The Hi-Lo's|The Hi-Lo's]].<ref name="ArcArtists 2019"/>
