Industry philosophy
In his keynote speech at the 25th Golden Melody Awards, Peterson detailed some of the shortcomings of the digital-entertainment delivery model, to include: the need for a local language and exhibition standards globally, methods to maintain and service master-packages, methods for rights identification and optimization, supply-chains and content-use standards. Peterson proposed an industry effort, adopting business models similar to FedEx and Visa, to address language-localization and multi-format complexities. Noting that under-served and emerging markets are the growth sectors in digital media, Peterson asserted that the supply-chain logistics may someday become more valuable than the content.
