IN In 2015, Marinelli sat for an interview with the [[BBC]], reflecting on his memories and contributions to Michael Jackson's ''Thriller''. <ref name="BBC 2015 k223"/> [[Tom Baylor Bahler]] had introduced Marinelli to music producer [[Quincy Jones]]. Marinelli and business partner, Brian Banks , were hired to be stationed at "Studio B", as session musicians working at [[Westlake Recording Studios|Westlake Studios]] in West Hollywood for the creation of ''Thriller''.<ref name="BBC 2015 k223"/> In addition to bringing in three truckloads of synthesizer gear, preliminary duties consisted of briefing Michael Jackson on the capabilities of the emerging technologies and , sound creation / and programming. <ref name="Carr 2022 b760"/>
The BBC "Witness" radio podcast was followed by three ''How We Created It'' pilot vlog series.
